YMCA Heritage Club
 |
The YMCA Heritage Club emblem... a symbol of faith in the
YMCA's future. It stands for the enlightened concern of individuals
who have felt and seen the impact of the YMCA on the lives of many
people. It is a reminder of the YMCA's mission and symbolizes the
desire to see the YMCA's continue to influence and serve its community.
The Heritage Club was established for supporters of the YMCA to help provide
for long-range financial stability of the organization. We do not
ask for funds now but request that you consider including the YMCA in your
long range financial plans. By doing this now, you may find that tax
advantages can increase the value of your estate, enabling you to do more
than you might have ever dreamed possible.

The
Heritage Club is a special group of men and women who believe in the tradition
and mission of the YMCA.
It is a group pledged to ensure that the Heritage continues for future
generations.
A planned, charitable gift may be made in a variety of
ways.
The Harrisburg Area YMCA is prepared to provide you and your advisors with more
information.
Wills & Bequests
A gift to the YMCA by Will permits you to retain all your
assets during your lifetime and/or the life of your spouse.
Designations may be for a percent of your estate or for a specified amount.
Charitable Trust
A Charitable Trust can provide income to you and your spouse
as long as either of you live.
Thereafter the principal will go to the YMCA Endowment Fund.
You may name other charities as principal recipients as well.
Pooled Income Fund
A contribution to the YMCA's Pooled Income Fund can accomplish
the same preservation of life income
to you and your spouse without the expense of maintaining a separate trust.
Life Insurance
When the added protection of an insurance policy is no longer
needed, transferring the policy's ownership
to the YMCA can result in tax benefits for you and a generous gift for the
YMCA.
The YMCA can also be included as a beneficiary of a policy.
Charitable Lead Trust
A Charitable Lead Trust can be appropriate if you have ample
income now, but desire to retain ownership
of the trust principal to meet future financial goals for your family.
Income will be directed
to the YMCA Endowment Fund for the specific term of the trust,
after which time the principal will return to you or designated survivors.
Outright Gift
A direct gift of cash, appreciated securities or real
properties may be the most convenient
way for you to make a contribution to the YMCA Endowment Fund.
By selecting any of these methods of supporting the YMCA, you
will find
each has a varied estate or income tax benefit that can result in a gift
that is considerably larger than the after-tax costs to you.
